Help and frequently asked questions
Short answers to the most common questions about Ohhi: sharing, storage, security and privacy.
What do you get with a free account?
A free account has 1 GB of storage to try out photos and video. Viewing shared albums and posting text updates stays free forever.
How do you share an album with family and friends?
You invite people yourself and pick a role per person. Only the people you invite see the album; nothing becomes public.
How do you share one subscription with your family?
You take one paid plan and share it with up to six accounts: you plus five others. The storage is shared, everyone's library stays private.
How do you create a trip folder?
When you create a new folder, pick the 'Trip folder' type. Everything you put in it is arranged by day and on a map on its own.
How do you set up two-factor authentication?
Open the 'Two-step verification' section in your profile, pick an authenticator app, security key or passkey, and store your backup codes.
How does face recognition work, and what is stored?
Face recognition is off by default. If you switch it on in your profile, our servers in Europe group your photos by person; switching it off erases everything again.
Where are your photos stored?
Your photos sit on servers inside the European Union, at a Dutch company, and so fall entirely under European law.
