Ohhi

The European alternative to Instagram

Instagram started as a place to share photos, but by now it is full of ads, reels and recommended content. Ohhi does the other part: sharing photos and videos with the people you invite yourself, on servers in the EU.

What you share on Ohhi is not public and needs no followers. You invite family or friends to an album, they look and react, and that's where it ends. Ohhi is a Dutch company, your images live on servers inside the European Union and fall entirely under European law.

Sharing without a stage

Instagram is built on reach: followers, likes and a profile anyone can find. For family photos, that stage tends to work against you. Your child's first steps don't belong between sponsored posts and recommended videos. On Ohhi you share in albums with the people you invite yourself: no followers, no audience, no counter under your photo.

What Ohhi deliberately doesn't rebuild

We don't rebuild reels, an explore page or public reach, and that's a choice. If you want a stage for a large audience, Instagram serves you better. Ohhi replaces the personal part: sharing photos and videos with family and friends, and seeing their reactions.

Bringing your circle over without the hassle

An alternative only works if the people around you are there too. An Ohhi account is free and comes with 1 GB to share, so you don't have to convince anyone to pay. Need more room? One subscription is shared with up to six accounts — parents, children and grandparents move over in one go.

Frequently asked questions

Is Ohhi really European?

Yes. Ohhi is a Dutch company and your photos and videos live on servers inside the European Union, under Dutch and European law (GDPR). There is no American parent company subject to the CLOUD Act in between.

How much does Ohhi cost?

An account is free and comes with 1 GB of storage to share your own photos and videos. Text posts are always free, even when your storage is full. More storage starts at €6 per year, and one subscription can be shared with up to six accounts.

Does Ohhi show ads or sell my data?

No. Ohhi makes money from subscriptions, not from your attention. We show no ads, sell no data and never use your photos to train AI models.

Do my photos and videos keep their quality?

Yes. We keep the quality as close to your original as we can. Your images are not flattened to load faster, the way they are on many social platforms.

Does Ohhi replace Instagram entirely?

No, deliberately not. We don't rebuild public profiles, followers, reels or an explore page. Ohhi replaces the personal part: sharing photos and videos with the people you care about.
