Sharing without a stage
Instagram is built on reach: followers, likes and a profile anyone can find. For family photos, that stage tends to work against you. Your child's first steps don't belong between sponsored posts and recommended videos. On Ohhi you share in albums with the people you invite yourself: no followers and no audience.
What Ohhi deliberately doesn't rebuild
We don't rebuild reels, an explore page or public reach, and that's a choice. If you want a stage for a large audience, Instagram serves you better. Ohhi replaces the personal part: sharing photos and videos with family and friends, and seeing their reactions.

Is Ohhi really European?
Yes. Ohhi is a Dutch company and your photos and videos live on servers inside the European Union, under Dutch and European law (GDPR). There is no American parent company subject to the CLOUD Act in between.
How much does Ohhi cost?
An account is free and comes with 1 GB of storage to share your own photos and videos. Text posts are always free, even when your storage is full. More storage starts at €6 per year, and one subscription can be shared with up to six accounts.
Does Ohhi show ads or sell my data?
No. Ohhi makes money from subscriptions, not from your attention. We show no ads, sell no data and never use your photos to train AI models.
Do my photos and videos keep their quality?
Yes. Video plays at up to 1080p. With 'Keep originals' switched on in your profile, the original file is kept as well and you can download it. If that setting is off (the welcome wizard suggests this compact mode), we keep only the playback versions of videos, and photos may be scaled down to 2048 pixels. In your archive the original always stays.
Can I bring my photos over from Instagram?
Yes. You request 'Download your information' from Instagram in JSON format, unpack the zip and choose that folder on Ohhi's import page. Posts, reels, stories, captions and dates come along, and a carousel stays one post. The files in such an export are Instagram's compressed versions though; if you still have the originals on your computer, import that folder instead.
Does Ohhi replace Instagram entirely?
No, deliberately not. We don't rebuild public profiles, followers, reels or an explore page. Ohhi replaces the personal part: sharing photos and videos with the people you care about.
