Terms

Last updated: 13 May 2026

Below are the agreements for using Ohhi — a private social network for your family and friends. We keep it short and in plain language so you know where you stand.

1. Who we are

Ohhi is a small, independent project. Questions or feedback can be sent to maarten@ohhi.nl.

2. Account & use

A free account gives you access to albums you’ve been invited to. To upload your own photos you need a paid plan. You are responsible for the content you upload and share; do not upload material you don’t hold the rights to or that is unlawful.

3. Age & parental consent

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are between 13 and 16 years old, we need consent from a parent or legal guardian (Article 8 GDPR). At registration we’ll ask for your parent/guardian’s email address; we’ll send them a confirmation link, and the account can only log in after that link has been clicked.

We ask for your date of birth once during registration and use it only internally to determine whether parental consent is required. We don’t display it anywhere in your profile or feed, don’t share it with other users, and don’t pass it on to third parties.

4. Content that’s not allowed

Do not upload anything that is illegal, infringes the rights of others, or depicts child sexual abuse, hate speech, or glorification of violence. If we find such content (ourselves or via a report), we remove it and may suspend or terminate the account. We report child sexual abuse material to the authorities.

5. Apple App Store

For the iOS app, the Apple End User Licence Agreement (EULA) applies in addition to these terms. In case of conflict, the stricter provision prevails. Apple is not a party to this agreement and bears no responsibility for the app or for support requests.

6. Cancellation

You can terminate your account at any time from your profile page. On cancellation your data is deleted immediately; there is no recovery. Save copies of anything you want to keep before you cancel.

7. Availability

We do our best to keep Ohhi available, but don’t offer a hard uptime guarantee. You’ll be notified by email in advance of any planned maintenance.

8. Changes

If these terms change, you’ll be notified at least 30 days in advance. Disagree? You can cancel free of charge during that period.

9. Governing law and disputes

Dutch law applies to this agreement. We try to settle disputes directly first; if that fails, you are free to bring the matter before the competent Dutch court.
