How do you share an album with family and friends?
You invite people yourself and choose which folders they see. Only those who accept the invitation can look along; nothing becomes public.
An album on Ohhi is only visible to the people you invite. There is no feed, no discover page and no public profile; the invitation is the only way in. You invite someone by e-mail address or from your list of friends on Ohhi, and choose which folder or folders that person gets to see. The other person accepts the invitation first; only then can they look along.
What an invited person can do
- View and save all photos and videos in the shared folders, in the quality you uploaded them in.
- Leave a comment or a like on every photo. There is no like counter and no algorithm deciding the order.
- Add, edit or delete nothing in your folders. Only the owner can do that.
Looking along works with a free account. You can withdraw an invitation at any time; the other person then no longer sees your folders.
Bringing photos together
If someone wants to show their own photos too, they share a folder of their own with you and the rest of the family in the same way. For a holiday there is a shared trip: every participant links their own trip folder and Ohhi merges everything into one timeline with a map. Letting someone without an account look along
For each folder you can create one public link for people without an account. That link is read-only: the visitor sees the photos and videos, but no reactions, originals or downloads.
