Why resize photos?
A 48-megapixel camera is great for printing, but overkill for almost everything else. E-mail services refuse attachments beyond a few MB, upload forms have limits, and an oversized photo slows down every page of a website. For a marketplace listing or a newsletter image, 1280 to 1600 pixels on the longest side is more than enough.
Resizing typically saves 80 to 95 percent in file size, without any visible difference on a screen.
How it works
Pick a maximum dimension and an output format, then drop your photos into the box. Your browser reads, downscales and compresses each file on the spot; next to every photo you see how much smaller the result is, with a download link. Change the settings and all photos are reprocessed — your original always stays untouched on your device.
Metadata disappears automatically

Frequently asked questions
Is my photo uploaded?
No. Resizing happens entirely in your browser, on your own device. Even large batches of photos never travel to a server.
Which size should I pick?
For e-mail and most websites, 1280 or 1600 pixels on the longest side is plenty. Pick 800 for avatars and small images, and 2048 if you want to keep maximum quality in a smaller file.
JPG or WebP?
WebP is roughly a quarter to a third smaller at the same quality and works in all modern browsers. JPG is the safest choice when the photo has to be uploaded or opened somewhere you don't control.
Can I resize HEIC photos from an iPhone?
Yes. Just drop them in: the tool first decodes HEIC locally and then resizes. You get a JPG or WebP back that works everywhere.
